In the year 2000, our goal to produce exceptional wines began a meticulous process of analyzing and selecting grape varieties.
Our team carefully evaluated the potential of this exceptional land and the microclimate of the region, which boasts Mediterranean characteristics.
Our vineyard is situated on a unique land that once belonged to a Convent.
These lands remained untouched for over five centuries.
Nestled atop a hill with lime-clay stone soil, our vineyard spans over 12 hectares of land. We have carefully selected five red grape varieties - Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Nacional, and Sousão - as well as two white varieties, Alvarinho and Arinto.
With over 3000 hours of sunshine throughout the year, our grapes mature with the perfect sugar content. The combination of moisture-filled nights and warm days, complemented by dry winds from the north and refreshing breezes from the south, offers a unique balance that helps protect our vines and maintain their freshness.
With these characteristics, our estate boasts the perfect "Terroir" for producing high-quality wines.
Few grapes can boast the privilege of being born and raised with such a magnificent view as our vines, which overlook Silves city, the Monchique Mountains, and the Arade River. Our grapes are fortunate enough to benefit from this breathtaking location, producing wines that embody the unique terroir of the Algarve.
